Customer orders

The Lakeshore call turns into a tracked order before they hang up.

Open the customer on the canvas, draft an order or a quote, ship in partial loads, record AR payments. Every state change is one tap, the document is generated for you, and the bot watches for things that should change but didn't.

How it works

Quote or order, pick on the spot

The new-order modal has a single toggle: Save as draft (Quote). When you flip it, the bot generates a quote document with a default 30-day expiry instead of allocating inventory. When the customer accepts, one tap promotes it to a live order and Available updates everywhere it shows up.

Same screen. No separate quotes module. No data re-keyed when the quote becomes a real order.

Ship in pieces. The math stays right.

Record a partial shipment with the lines you sent, carrier, and tracking. Stock movements post in the same transaction. The order drops into Partially shipped and stays open until the rest goes out. Unit cost is snapshotted on the first ship, so margin math doesn't drift if your input costs move later.

Pull up the customer modal weeks later and every order, shipment, and payment is listed where you'd expect, with status badges so glance-and-go works.

AR payment closes the loop

When the wire (or check, or e-transfer) lands, record the payment in seconds. Partially paid is tracked; once the order is fully shipped and fully paid, TuringDock flips it to Fulfilled automatically and timestamps it for you.

The Money page (coming) rolls these up into AR aging with bot-drafted follow-up emails for what's overdue.

Why this is the new age of MRP

Legacy MRPs make order taking a guided wizard with a dozen mandatory fields and a separate quoting module nobody uses. By the time you finish, the customer has hung up and you have a sticky note.

TuringDock keeps customer orders on the canvas, attached to the customer they belong to. Quote and order share one form. Ship and pay are one tap each. The bot keeps the state honest so you don't have to remember to update it.
